What is the "C" curve?

Want to work more effectively and efficiently in your Pilates practice? Join Liz Bernstein for a 2-hour workshop exploring your spine. You will learn some functional anatomy, the different movements of the spine, and how to apply that knowledge to get more out of your practice. We will start with a guided self-awareness movement practice centered around your spine and the way it moves. Everyone will find and work their "C" curve. Then, in a slow and challenging reformer practice, we will apply and integrate your new awareness and knowledge of the spine.
My hope is by the end of the workshop you will have a deeper understanding of your spine and what certain exercises are asking you to do and even more importantly, what not to do with your spine. This workshop is not appropriate for people with osteoporosis, or with rods in one's spine. Teachers and other movement professionals are welcomed!
